Check up from the Neck up!

Emree had her 6 month check up finally! Lets just say she is the very definition of chubby. She is in the 95th percentile for weight and only the 50th percentile for Height. She weighs in at a whopping 19 lbs exactly. My left arm is starting to feel the burn.

3 shots and a rotavirus cocktail later she is ready to go. Too bad when she got home she found out that mom is giving up breast feeding. (I put in my time right?!)

The funny thing is she was only sad about the shots for less then 2 minutes and she smiled as we scooted out the door. What's that? A shout out for new tricks.... Emree can grab food between her little fingers, giggle (it is so cute), and pull off her hand band! WE ARE IN TROUBLE!

Happy 50th Grandpa!

My Dad used to sing me to sleep singing "Always and Forever" after he had told me a very elaborate night time story about Princess Danielle that some how always ended with the Princess riding off on her very own horse.
When Quinn kicked out my front tooth I remember my Dad rushing me to the dentist. He had to reassure me the whole drive that I wouldn't look ugly forever and that everything would be okay. He had a way of wiping my tears and calming me down. He also had to make me milk shakes the rest of the summer because I couldn't eat solid foods. My Dad and I have always enjoyed our milk shakes.
My Dad tried to teach me how to drive and he was pretty patient. I ran over a stop sign in his truck and dented the whole top. I remember crying on the way home, I was begging him not to tell Jordan and Quinn because I was pretty sure they would make fun of me (but then again who wouldn't).
I have a million more stories of my Dad, but mostly now I love watching him melt when he holds my little Emree. He is one amazing man and grandpa and I wish him another amazing 50 years, (okay maybe not that many)but close.

Family Photos!

Family pictures are often a dreaded occasion. There is always someone who doesn't want to be there. There are usually a bundle of blinks. No matter what day you plan them it is always windy. The baby won't look at the camera, another kids crying, and the list goes on and on. However, I am proud to admit that we were lucky. With Tanner home from his mission and our newest addition we decided (Bonnie and Brian decided) that it was time for another Andre family photo. It was a beautiful (and HOT) day and everyone was in a good mood ... even Emree. Here are the results!

Life is full of good days and hard days and in between those we make room for a few really great days. I love to read peoples blogs because you get to hear about day to day life and while we don't spill our sour milk over our pages for the world to see and read, I think we learn to uplift. When I read about someone else and their great day or maybe even just their good day I can get through my not so good day. While the not so good days come few and far between for me right now, I know it isn't that way for everyone. If you are in a long streak of not so good days, remember to smile and look up. There is always (and I promise you ALWAYS) a little bit of sunshine peaking through the clouds. Isn't it great how even the smallest ray can still bring some of the brightest light...

My New Look!

It isn't the best picture, but what do you think of my new 'do?

My husband says I am now officially a mom, lol, I am going to take that as a compliment.

CoUnTdOwN

I have always loved counting down to all sorts of events. I love the anticipation and the excitement that comes from waiting and waiting for something fun to happen.

12 hours before I get my hair cut...

12 days until Whitney and Cody's wedding...

25 days until Ty's Birthday...

One month until my 22 birthday ...

12 days and two months until Quinn comes home ...

There is always something fun to look forward to. What is on your countdown?

Oh! and my dad just started potato harvest. He has been in our thoughts and prayers. We love our potatoes and we are starting Emree out early...

Do you want Fries with that shake?

Liberty!

We just went to Washington for my cousin Liberty's wedding (Thank you Mom and Dad Baker). Her and I have always been so close. We use to sneak all sorts of food together, play barbies all hours of the night, and watch movies over and over again. We also always confided in each other. I could tell her anything and she could do the same. We gave each other advice, hugs, and a shoulder. I am so excited she has found David. They are so perfect together and their sealing was perfect. I am so excited they can be bound together for all eternity and that we could be a part of it.

It was also fun (always) to be home with my family. My mom has most of the pictures of our fun times, but here are a few of my little family at the aquatic center.

And my post wouldn't be complete with out a smile from Emree.

6 tricks for 6 months!

1. Rolling Over... okay it took her a while, but who needs to roll over when mom brings you everything. She can roll both ways, but mostly she just rolls as fast as the speed of light to get off her tummy and as slow as molasses to get to her tummy (she doesn't like her tummy).

2. Smiling at Everyone... this isn't necessarily a trick, but it is about all she does. She loves to smile at strangers. We recently flew from Spokane to California and she probably had a smily conversation with just about every person we ran in to. You may think this is adorable, however, it really ruins my groove because I can't stand talking to strangers and with this little jewel I get to have conversations with loads of them.

3. Sitting Up ... she was also pretty slow at sitting up. Now she can't get enough of it. Her only problem is she likes to reach for everything and this makes falling over eminent.

4. Pacifier Inserting ... this trick has not yet been mastered, but the mediocre version is pretty cute!

5. Gurgling ... is her new favorite sound and she likes to get louder and louder all the time. I think it is her way of saying, "Look at me, look at me, LOOK AT ME!"

6. EATING... this not really a trick either, but it is her favorite pass time. You don't get thighs like that by starving your self.

Needless to say, "We like, her, we love, her, we want some more of her!"

We are so grateful to our Heavenly Father for our beautiful, chubby angel.
