One Great Weekend!

Okay, first off let me just say that I totally slacked off as a mom and didn't really get any pictures of the weekend, but Grandma did so hopefully she will post some.
We had a fabulous Spring Festival weekend in Moses Lake with exciting things happening right and left. I love coming home, but I love coming home on Memorial Day weekend even more. It has always been a weekend full of entertainment. I love the carnival food, the sno cones, the performances, the lip sync, the parade, the people, the people watching, the basketball, the fights, and most importantly my family and friends. Because I have grown up in a small town, I am definitely easy to please. I am like a kid in a candy store if you give me a tiger's blood sno cone and a corny lip sync competition. However, Emree made things a little more difficult. Here are a few things she cried through this weekend: the lipsync, the parade, part of a movie, the three on three basketball tournament, and I think that was about it. She knows what is really important though. She slept through the dance performance and church.

Thursday we got to go to a Mariners game. Friday Mackenzie performed and was incredible. I love watching her dance. Saturday Tyler and Jordan played on a three on three team together. They did really well and walked away with no injuries or really big fights. We are so proud! Easton was also on a team and won second in his age division. He was pretty bummed because he is competitive and wanted to win (guess he is a Baker). We all thought he played pretty dang awesome though.  Plus, I would like to send a shout out to the wonderful Vanilla Sticky Buns that David Earl bought from Griffins Bakery. I ate one (or two) while we were watching the basketball tournament and I would have to say that they are my new favorite. Also on Saturday my Mom and Kenzie marched in the Moonlight Parade. They were awesome!

On Sunday, to add to the excitement of what has always been Spring Fest, my best friend in the whole world got engaged! That is right people... drum roll please... Cody Anderson and Whitney are getting married! Life doesn't get any sweeter. Whitney has always been a huge part of our family and we couldn't be any happier to have Cody in her life. Cody you better always treat her like the princess that she is and Whitney we love you unconditionally!

One other exciting thing... Emree is on the verge of laughing. She did a very very very small giggle in Washington (one that maybe only a mother would count). That little giggle turned into an actual giggle last night and we will see what we can do today.

Don't worry folks! We are enjoying California and I get to go to Washington for my mom's dance recital in June (She is not performing). I am blessed in every way and love being surrounded by friends and family. It was fun to see Cassidy and Bo and their adorable Megan who I have never met until now. She is an absolute cutie pie and a smile a minute (as is Carter). We also met Liberty's boyfriend David... good catch Lib. I think I said this already, but I love Spring Fest. I love my family. I love Tyler. And I love Emree.

They were vanilla sticky YUMMY buns, and you failed to mention the garlic fries and kettle korn and many italian sodas. It was so great having Emree here for her first springfest and we enjoyed you and Tyler as well. (haha). Love, mom
