We have had the cutest little joy school this last year! I am sad for it to be over. Seriously! Two of these little cuties are moving and two are heading into preschool. Emree loved every lesson and every child!

Monday Memories: Swings
I don't know what it is about swings, but my kids could swing for hours. They giggle and laugh the entire time. If we are having a hard day all we need is a little swinging time. It makes me want to get a rocking chair.

Simple Sunday: Focusing On The Savior
It is hard to find ways to truly make Sunday about the Savior. In our church we believe that the Sabbath is literally a day of rest. We rest from our everyday tasks and focus on becoming closer to our Savior. This is one commandment that I find that it is easy to live the letter of the law and much harder to truly live the spirit of the law. I didn't work today, I didn't do laundry, or much cleaning, we didn't go out to eat or get gas. We went to church, but did we focus on bringing the spirit into our home. Did we teach our kids about Jesus Christ? Did I strengthen my testimony of the gospel?
I would love to hear things you do to truly keep the Sabbath day holy.

Thursday Therapy: I couldn't go to bed...
It has been a LONG time since I have seen "My Fair Lady," but I still know every word to every song. In fact, I think the last time I watched it was when I FORCED Tyler to watch it after Emree was born. I knew it was a must see and that his life would not, could not, be complete with out experiencing it. ANYWAYS.... One of my favorite scenes is when she is floating all the way to get ready for bed and singing "bed, bed, I couldn't go to bed, my heads to light to try to set it down...." This happened at our house last night... sort of.
Emree wasn't floating, she was kicking, jerking, biting.
Emree wasn't singing, she was screaming.
"I can't close my eyes, they are too open!"
Now, normally this wouldn't be a problem. She would go to bed regardless and it would only take a few more minutes because it usually means she is over tired and just needs to hold still for one second to fall asleep, BUT I had a meeting and so I left her up to watch "Pocahontas." When everyone had left and it was time for bed once more she was completely distraught. She cried, "BUT MOM, you said I didn't have to go to bed tonight. I promise I will tomorrow." What a sad misinterpretation of my actions. I had to explain that we go to bed EVERY night. Hmm My Fair Little Lady.
