One year old Photos...Finally

We went to get her pictures and she wouldn't smile. Not even in the slightest. So, here are the pictures we got. They aren't amazing, but she is still pretty cute for such a little stinker!

Easter Trip!

So, we braved the twelve hour drive with a one year old and headed down to Utah for a chance to see family.
I was a little disappointed with myself because I didn't take very many pictures, but we did have a very fun time.

Our first stop was Provo. We stayed at my cousin Liberty's house. It was the best! We got to see her and David and stay up all night playing Labyrinth. ( David won every time so he enjoyed it a little more then everyone else).

We also saw our friends the Shermans. Here are Emree and Trey playing with Tyler and stealing a kiss...We know they will probably never date because Emree will be taller then Trey, but hey, parents can dream.

We got to go to dinner with Jordan and Quinn (my brothers). Emree loves them so much! We always joke that they are really great with the older ladies and the young young ladies. What Ladies Men :). The cute girl with Quinn is his girlfriend Brittany. We really like her!!!

On Thursday Ty's family came to Utah and we got to spend some time with them in Park City. Unfortunately that is where the pictures stopped because I got really sick. I mean really sick. Chills, aches and pains, nausea, headaches, and list goes on. So, while we enjoyed our time with them, I don't have single picture with them. SAD! We Mostly watched conference, but we did a little hot tubbing, shopping, and the boys went sledding. Everyone had a good time, minus my sickness.

However, I did recover enough on Easter to catch Ty and Emree opening their baskets from Mom and the Easter Bunny (we collaborated). Emree was not in the picture mood. All she wanted to do was the throw the eggs down really hard on the floor so they would open up and reveal a new little treat. Thank Goodness I filled most of hers with raisins and goldfish so that we wouldn't have a chocolate overdose.

Then we drove home. Twelve more hours in the car, 10 of which Emree spent awake begging for attention, and we are back home. Got to love a good family vacation!

Sick.

Emree has been really sick. She has had nasty boogers, eye boogers, and a slight fever, coughing, crying, staying up at night. We are going to try to get her in to the Doctor today to see if we can get her better quick. I am sure she will be fine, but I just want her back to her normal crazy self. In the meantime, she does take amazing naps...

One Year Check Up!

Emree headed into the doctor's office today with a smile on her face and we marched out of there with big crocodile tears. Got to love it. Emree saw the pediatrician my mom use to take me too. She called her her Grand Patient. I thought it was cute.

(This is her right before we went in.)

Here are her Stats:

Height: 31 inches (75-95th percentile)
Weight: 21lb 3 oz (25-50th percentile)
Head: 18 inches (50th percentile)

So she is tall and skinny, no surprises there. Emree talks and babbles all the time. She is a very social creature, waving at everyone and thing and lately patting everyone on the head. She has started throwing tantrums. We are starting to ignore them. She has started opening doors and lids. We have started hiding things. Watch out! However, she has also started taking longer naps. Hallelujah!

Emree also has 5 very big spread out teeth... but they really only add to her cute smile!

She also got a new chair from my mom to watch t.v. in. She loves to stand on it. Great.

Happy Birthday to Emree!

Emree had her First Birthday on Thursday. She got way too many presents, too much sugar, and too much love (if that is possible). Her Great Grandma Jewkes was here and her Grandma Andre came to see her. Having everyone here to celebrate made it pretty special. We didn't really have a party, but partied all day.

Even dad put his pride aside and wore a princess crown.

The whole party crew!

These pictures go from messiest to cleanest. I made Em a giant cupcake. She loved it.

Opening a few of her presents... She liked to rip them slowly. Her favorite however was taking the stuff out of the bags and trying to put on her clothes that she got.

These are the balloons she got from Debbie, Hannah, Liza and Allyson. They were her favorite thing ever! She loved them because they sang "Happy Birthday" and she is still making us listen to them over and over and over again!

Em loves to walk, run, dance, play, hug, pull hair, and read! She mostly just babbles, but she can kind of say mama, dada, ball, moo, pant like a dog, and snort like a pig. She refuses to kiss people, but loves kissing all other objects. She also loves carrying things while she wanders around the house and makes mess after mess. Oh and she is slightly obsessed with throwing things in the toilet. We love her and we'll keep her! Happy Birthday Em!
