I swallow my gum. I have ever since I can remember. In fact, I swallowed my friends' gum for them when I was in elementary school and in high school I use to eat entire bags of double bubble. Sadly, my "adultness" (not a word) has made me stop doing such silly things.
Well, my kids love gum too! And I never taught them to chew it and then spit it out. Gum is like candy. Jesse is, of course, too little for not swallowing and Emree.... well, why not swallow.
My philosophy has since been confirmed. One anonymous Grandpa taught little Em to just chew her gum. Today I found pieces of it chewed up and spit out gum all over my house and a little in her hair. I promptly asked her to swallow it next time. (We love Grandpa for lots and lots of other things he teaches!)
I know the real answer is that I probably shouldn't give my three year old gum, but don't judge me :)

Monday Memories: Cinderella
Emree had a combined birthday party with one of her really good friends Jonah. They are only ten days apart and so we took advantage of the close birthdays and shared a party.
Brian (Ty's Dad) made the invitation. He is AMAZING! It turned out so cute.
Gaylynn (Jonah's Mom) made the fondant shields and circles. I made the cupcakes and we decorated them together.
I also made these crowns and wands with the artistic direction of my friend Kim and some funds from Grandma Lori.
Then I hand stitched some tulle on to Emree's dress up skirt so that she could have a true ball gown.
The kids would have had fun in the backyard with a big pile of card board boxes, but then us mother's wouldn't have had as much fun... right?!
Side note: Jesse was in heaven! I let him run around like crazy and he ended the day completely tuckered out and covered in dirt. Totally worth it. ;)

My Little Ballerina
Emree had her first dance class tonight. She was hesitant at first, but ended the night by asking if she could go to another class before we went home. I told her she had to wait for next week. I loved watching and can't wait for next week. I was definitely a beaming first time mom. I loved every minute :)

Monday Memories: It's Always Fun...
It’s always fun
when grandma comes,
When grandma comes,
Hooray!
She always says
And in the kindest way.
She has a wrinkly,
twinkly smile;
It’s always fun for ev’ryone
Hooray!

Friday Fun: Early Birthday!
Seriously, Emree is three. Or at least she will be three tomorrow. I can hardly, hardy believe it. It feels like I was holding my new precious little girl in my arms just yesterday. She has taught us how to laugh, scowl, party, and, at times, be patient. She is my buddy, my friend, my accomplice. I love my little Em Em.
We started the birthday celebration last weekend when Tyler's family came. Tanner and Emree are just one day apart (and 21 years). Happy Birthday Today Tanner!
Last, but not least.... here is a little video of Baby Em. Wow! We are blessed!

I accidently won two huge boxes of dress up clothes on e-bay. I spent way too much money, but it made for one very happy birthday girl!
She was also super happy to have her grandpa and grandma Baker here! And so was I. We have been so blessed to be visited by so much family lately.
We spent the morning at Chuck E. Cheese. Emree wanted to spend the whole time in this little car that takes your picture and then gives it to you. She was posing for Chuck E. It was pretty hilarious. Did I mention she is all girl? Jesse's favorite part was me climbing in the crawling toys with him. Seriosuly made me claustrophobic. Not doing that again.
Grandma Lori let Emree pick out her very own princess cake. We didn't get a 'picture moment' of how excited she really was. She says her favorite princess is Aurora.
